The 2020 hyundai Creta is heavily inspired from the ix25.

The 2020 Creta has also been spotted testing several times in India and we now know that it will be bigger in dimensions than thee outgoing model along with a marginally larger wheelbase. Being heavily inspired from the ix25 which was unveiled in China last year, the new Creta adorns Hyundai's latest design language- Sensuous Sportiness and looks more robust than the current model, thanks to a butch looking face. The defining elements here are the massive cascade grille, slim indicator lights atop and the distinct vertical DRL signature surrounding the projector beam headlamps. It is further complemented with the tall bumper that sports sturdy looking skid plates. The profile too builds up on the bold stance sporting squared fenders and revised LED taillights conjoined with the sleek light bar help to embellish the look.

It will share platform and powertrains with the Seltos.

The cabin of the 2020 Hyundai Creta has been heavily upgraded as well and will get a massive 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment, like the one we see on Teslas. It is likely to feature Hyundai's Blue Link connected car app and an embedded e-SIM to enable connected car features. It will also get a new flat-bottom steering wheel, newly designed dashboard and updated seats along with upholstery. The car is expected to sport a 6-airbag top-spec across engines, though side impact protection, dual airbags, ABS (anti-lock brakes) and EBD (electronic brake force distribution) is expected to be standard. Some top trims will also sport a sunroof - along with an inbuilt air purifier and power-adjustable front seats.

Platform and powertrain sharing among sister brands is very common in the auto space and both Kia and Hyundai will have spoken about sharing technology and resources. We already know about the Creta being underpinned by Seltos' platform and we even expect it to get 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines from the Seltos. However, there's no final word on the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and the transmissions.
