On regular models, the interior will have a two-tone colour scheme of beige and black, similar to other Hyundai models. The cabin itself has been completely redesigned and wears a fresh new look. Needless to say, it looks much better than the cabin on the outgoing model. Before we begin, we should tell you that the model we had a chance to spend time with, was the 1.4-litre turbo petrol variant.

This particular model gets an all-black colour scheme with splashes of red all around the cabin, which does give the cabin a sporty appeal. And adding to the sporty appeal is the new flat-bottomed steering wheel which not only looks good but feels good to hold as well. The sporty flavour is further accentuated by the metal pedals in the footwell.

Talking about the dashboard, the new Creta gets a completely new unit and has a minimalist feel to it. You also get a sense of space, even with the dark colours, thanks to the new design. The centrepiece is the new 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The screen is capacitive and quite intuitive as well. The visibility is sharp and there are multiple options in terms of customising the widget options.

Plus, the new Hyundai Creta is also a connected car, like the Venue and the top models will have Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity technology. Under the infotainment unit are the controls for climate control and to be honest, they look a little underwhelming. The buttons and the layout could have been a little more, erm, happening. Then, there is a small cubbyhole which has the USB ports and a wireless charging tray.

There is an all-new panoramic sunroof on offer as well along with ambient lighting, a 17-speaker Bose audio system and a small digital display on the arm rest for the rear passengers. The display offers controls for the rear AC, for the rear passengers, which is a neat touch.

We will reserve our comments on the space and comfort till we spend more time with the car and take it out for a spin. At present, the new-generation Hyundai Creta looks promising, and it is the complete package we are talking about.
